We love Grenache for it's uber versatility. It is a beautiful, feminine wine with a silky texture. The full, mouth-coating, and lingering palate presence make it a huge favorite with our staff and tasting room visitors alike. We personally fell in love with this varietal during a trip to Australia, and came straight home and planted some ourselves. This is an extremely easy-going companion to just about every cuisine type and a must-have-on-hand-in-the-cellar kind of wine! - This Syrah displays a gorgeous inky-black hue intertwined with a full nose of ripe cherry, clove and rich blackberry cheesecake. The palate is composed of a light gaminess, toasted oats, violets, blackberry and vanilla.
- Aromas of black licorice, ripe cherries and mocha mark the entry of our single vineyard Cab. It coats your mouth with juicy blackberries, followed by firm round balanced tannins. A hint of sandalwood & chocolate covered berries are part of the long smooth finish.
- Opens with aromas of plum and blackberry, followed by flavors of dark fruit, espresso bean and cocoa. French oak aging leads to textured tannins and a long luscious finish.
- Brutacao's single vineyard Pinot Noir, which is grown in the warm days and foggy evenings of the Anderson Valley, opens with aromas of cherry cola, red berries, cloves and spice. Bright raspberry and strawberry flavors lead into lush toasted oak and a long finish of milk chocolate dipped strawberries.
- This Primitivo opens with inviting peppery aromas, followed by bright fruit and spice overtones, along with a nice bead of acidity throughout. A good pizza and lasagna wine.
- The triumph of Italian wine varietals championed in this Estate blend of Sangiovese, Primitivo, Barbera and Dolcetto offers a portrait of aromas and flavors that have resonated throughout the Mediterranean for centuries.
- Aromatics of ripe raspberry and spice are followed by flavors of dark cherry, cinnamon & earth. Black pepper notes in the mid-palate are followed by velvety chocolate with just a touch of oak. Balanced tannins will allow this wine to age beautifully.
- Ca’ del Sarto Barbera d’Alba is a powerful berry rich wine with soft tannins. This great Italian wine is left to mature in special oak barrels for 10 months to bring out its subtle, refined quality and robust flavor. Wonderfully smooth and slightly tannic, the wine develops a full, well-balanced flavor with age.
- This Nero d' Avola is grown on sandy-silt soil, of medium consistency with an alkaline reaction due to the presence of limestone. 4 months aging in medium oak casks. It has flavors of red plums, morello cherries with a pleasant nuance of black pepper.
- Ca' del Sarto 'Refosco' is a deeply colored red wine from Friuli with plummy flavors and a hint of almond. With firm acidity and a medium to full body the Ca' del Sarto Refosco is the perfect starter wine with appetizers or paired with Italy's best prosciutto.
- ‘Ardente’ is of a deep, ruby red color with purple hues. It has a sharp, intensely fruity aroma, with pleasant hints of red pepper and liquorice.
- This Petite Sirah has earned somewhat of a cult-like following. Those who have experienced this wine before are always the first back in line every spring to snatch up the new vintage. Proper words to describe this wine are elusive, but there are three that fit best....tall, dark and handsome.
- A round and velvety first impression leads to a wonderful bright cherry, raspberry, rose hip and fruit-tea overtone with a soft, smooth finish.
- Luminous, rich ruby red in color. Aromas of morello cherries, raspberries, violets and vanilla. Fresh and fruity on the palate with juicy delicate tannins.
- The Cabernet Franc blends red fruit aromas with spicy touches of dark chocolate finishing with smooth, silky tannins. Pairs well with grilled food and tomato-based pasta. The grapes for this wine are 100% Cabernet Franc and come from a vineyard block planted in a privileged location between the Chimbarongo Creek and the Tinguiririca River on the Maquis Estate, in the heart of the Colchagua Valley.
- This rich, velvety wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Carménère and 5% Petit Verdot. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from a block located at the foothills of the Andes at an altitude of 500 meters–one of the highest in altitude and closest in proximity to the Andes in the Colchagua Valley. The soil is deep, alluvial and well drained because of the stony and gravelly composition. The Carménère and Petit Verdot come from the Maquis estate in the central part of Colchagua Valley. Twenty percent of the blend was aged for 9 months in third-use French oak barrels while the rest remains in stainless steel tanks.
- The wine is made from 100% Carmenere grapes grown between the Chimbarongo Creek and the Tinguiririca River on the Maquis Estate in central Colchagua Valley. The vineyard block’s two-meter-deep, well-drained alluvial soil contains gravel, contributing to a wine that has pronounced spice and black fruit aromas and velvety, bright tannins. This is a silky Carmenere, with flavors of blackberry, cinnamon and rosemary.
- Juicy and well balanced, this food-friendly Malbec has excellent natural acidity and soft, sweet tannins. Barrel aging gives it complexity and elegance. Pair with chicken, grilled chops or salmon.
- Lagrein is sort of the Dolcetto of Alto Adige, the bold but flexible everyday red that pairs perfectly with cheese, sausage and savory main courses. This one's a beauty, ripe and dark and loaded with earthy cherry and plum fruit and bitter chocolate notes. The texture is generous and round- making it a nice sipper - but bright acidity and fine tannins let it shine at table. Delicious and fine value!
- Nice and delicate aromas of exotic and citrus fruits. The touch of viognier brings sweetness and a floral hint. Very fresh and balanced month with again this soft exotic touch. Long and nice finish.
