- Well it looks a bit different—but trust us—this vintage is as good or even better than the past five. Highway 12 Proprietary Red Blend shines from start to finish with a nose of dark cherry and bark then hits the front and mid-palate with enormity of blackberry preserves, yet remains austere through the finish by way of cedar-like oak notes and a touch of pencil shaving.
