The wine finishes with a stunning freshness with lingers almost indefinitely.

- Zwickelbier is essentially an effervescent form of a Bavarian Kellerbier. Westheimer Wildschütz is the first Zwickelbier that is available in the North America. Zwickelbier is unfiltered and unpasteurized, but the maturation casks (or modern tanks) are bunged or capped ("gespundet" in German) just before the end of fermentation. This furthers the dissolution of carbon dioxide gas in the brew. As a result, Zwickelbier builds up effervescence and has a nice creamy head when poured into a glass. Cloudline Pinot Noir has a brilliant ruby color and medium body, which is true to Oregon Pinot Noir. On the nose and following through on the palate, I find bright red and black cherries, with a framework of cola nut and ripe dark fruit. Tannins are soft, and the finish is graceful. Pale-yellow color. Fresh, with white flowers and slightly mineral. Very charming! Well balanced, with a good weight. Citrus and green apple aromas and a hint of mineral. A Riesling with a nice fruitiness and good body. Very easily enjoyed!
