Cloudline has a brilliant ruby color and medium body, which is true to Oregon Pinot Noir. On the nose and following through on the palate, I find bright red and black cherries, with a framework of cola nut and ripe dark fruit. Tannins are soft, and the finish is graceful. This is a wine to enjoy tonight, or sometime in the next 3-5 years.” - Véronique Drouhin -
- This is a fresh fruity well balanced wine. It is spicy and displays classic characteristic Chianti.
- Balanced, elegant, focused, and very clearly representative of our estate’s terroir. The color is a beautiful mix of garnet and ruby. Aromatically dynamic, floral notes with bright red fruit and spice fill the bouquet and palate. It is a mix of roses and violets with red hills earth, white pepper, red currant, cassis, light vanilla, pomegranate and warm cherry pie. On the palate, the texture is layered and complex, and the finish is quite long with well integrated tannins that will round in time.
- Laurène is an essay in balance. Its color is both brilliant red and deep ruby. The nose has the spice character of 2011 - anise, clove & tea – with further notes of baked fig, rhubarb and pomegranate. On the palate, the texture is both light & viscous, with mouth coating tannins, and flavors of spice & ripe raspberries with a touch of tartness. The exceptionally long finish leaves you with sweet, lush fruit & wonderfully bright layers. While intensely woven now, a couple years of cellaring, or decanting, will reveal silk, elegance and an expressive depth of texture. Enjoy now, and over the next 8-10 years.
- Aromatically, there are discreet pear flavors combined with a touch of fresh almonds and mint. The palate is finely balanced with a wonderful round texture and excellent length.
- Floral elements on nose nicely complemented intense earthy aromas. Palate showed a slightly sweet character, with ripe remaining fruit and great a sous bois evolution. Very good length and great finesse.
- Medium ruby color. Potent nose of juniper berry, violets, blackberry, red raspberry, stone, and dense earth. Lithe, sinewy layers of black raspberry, pulpy red raspberry, iron filings, cinnamon, and a bit of meatiness coursing on the palate with seamlessness and exuberance. Lovely acidity and serious but integrated tannins leading to a long finish of lively red and black fruit cut with rock and grip. Wow, a first class wine caught in early adolescence brimming with freshness and strength.
- The nose starts with faint mushrooms against a tightly-held core of fruit. The nose continuously evolves; first there are strawberry notes then a multitude of red currant and other red-berry fruits take turns coming to the fore. This is superb, very complex and becomes quite haunting. The palate has both intensity and balance but gives little else away, it is a very primary performance. There is more than ample length, but it's the nose that dominates this wine, and what a nose!
- Pale gold. A waxy nose with subtle, cream-covered, pineapple. The nose slowly evolves a faint butterscotch edge. The density and balance when coupled with the acidity is rather good. It's not entirely subtle but there is more than a hint of refinement. There's even a lingering creamy edge to the nut-infused finish.
- Pale-yellow color. Very enjoyable and typical bouquet with floral aromas (rose) and exotic fruit notes (pineapple, mango, litchi). Round and soft, well-balanced and without heaviness. Long and aromatic, with litchi and exotic fruits. Nice and clean freshness on the aftertaste. A nice stylish Gewürztraminer with enjoyable fruit.
- Pale-yellow color . Fruity (white plum, peach) and fresh nose, with smoked flavors. Round and soft, well-balanced, with a nice freshness. Fresh fruit aromas.
- Yellow color. Strong bouquet with smoked flavors and fruity notes (dried fruits and white fruits like peach, mirabelle plum.) Round and soft, well-balanced, without heaviness. With honey and wax aromas. A “gastronomic” Pinot Gris with an enjoyable fruit and body.
- This wine is a brilliant golden color. Ample, well-ripened and mellow, it exhales notes of fresh citrus fruit, lemon marmalade, orange peel and mild spices. Citrus fruit and pineapple flavors burst on the palate. This wine is especially impressive in terms of balance and offers plenty of length on the finish. Well-structured, it is at once rich and refined. Its attack is present with heaps of freshness and minerality. Full with good long lasting fruit.
- Pale-yellow color. Fresh, very pleasant, opened tea and mineral aromas. Well balanced, with an excellent freshness. A nice dry wine with an enjoyable fruit. Crisp, easy-drinking wine.
- Very well structured, with exemplary purity of red fruits. A striking Champagne on the nose offering similar sensations on the palate. Warm and satiny, lightly spiced with balanced hints of stoned fruits thanks to a lovely freshness in the finish.
- The nose brings to mind white peach and pear but also more floral notes such as peony. On the palate a mineral Champagne, lightly biscuity, creamy, supple, seductive.
- The Carte d’Or cuvée is the very expression of the Drappier style. With its very high proportion of Pinot Noir, one is almost tasting a Blanc de Noirs. Champagne with a fine aromatic richness, it opens with aromas of stoned fruits such as white vineyard peach. A spicy hint announces a powerful and complex palate. A vinous Champagne of lovely complexity with a characteristic note of quince jelly.
- Very fine nose of citrus fruits, apple, almond or perhaps nutmeg. When it reaches the palate the Charles de Gaulle Cuvée exhibits a remarkable complexity, with an airy mousse and lightly candied notes
- Golden in color with amber nuances. The Grande Sendrée reveals subtle aromas of dried fruits, some touches of toast and wax, the whole unfolding into fruity notes of citrus fruits, fruits with white flesh, stoned fruits… The palate accentuates the vinosity, the depth and the structure.
- This medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is both lithe and expressive, with embracing tannins wrapping gently around a focused core of dried herb-accented black cherry and licorice flavors, dancing with finesse on the finish.
