- With an expressive nose containing hints of laurel, spicy clove and a pleasant note of rosemary, this wine also exudes a layer of deep red fruits. On the palate, it’s fresh, with sweet tannins and a full-bodied flavor that ends in a lovely, lingering finish.
- The skills of our viticulturist, Xavier Choné, and our blenders, Jacques and Eric Boissenot, are clearly apparent in this balanced and elegant blend. The spices, black fruit and smooth texture of the Carménère, the principal component of the blend, are complemented by the extraordinary finesse and length on the palate by the Cabernet Franc. Viola is 85% Carménère, 15% Cabernet Franc.
- The distinctive 2010 Maquis Lien is made from a finely tuned blend of 50% Carménère, 35% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot. It is a generous red wine that reflects the character of the Hurtado family’s special plot of land.
- The Tannat grape has been transformed by the Uruguayan environment to become the country’s prominent variety. Marichal winemaking methods produce a Tannat without any wood or oak treatment resulting in a Tannat that is uniquely approachable with softer, velvety tannins and aromas of blackberries and dark fruit. The wine is a direct expression of its terroir and the climate where it thrives.
- The lush, round entry on the palate leading to a well structured, full mouthfeel, ending with a long pleasing finish. Added notes of black cherry, ripe plums and nicely integrated oak make this Meritage a wine that can be enjoyed now but will reward the patient consumer with the added complexity that will be gained with years of aging.

- Vibrant flavors of honeysuckle, Asian pear and tangerine lead the way to Meyer lemon, passion fruit, and vanilla bean notes in the mouth. This delightfully crisp Chardonnay finishes with tropical fruit, key lime with hints of French oak.
- Aromas of cassis, cherry and baking spices are framed in rose petals and dusty tannins with just a touch of cacao. The smooth mouth entry paves the way for robust flavors of strawberry-rhubarb jam, raspberry, vanilla bean with a hint of dark chocolate bound in subtle tannins and French oak.
- Aromas of black cherry, cassis and forest floor are prevalent in the nose. The luscious mid-palate impression is comprised of dark chocolate truffle, blackberry and cardamom notes. The finish is seamless melding the rich tannins with cedar, leather and a smidgen of spice.
- This is filled with intense black and blue fruits, nearly overripe but always stepping away from that precipice. The power of the fruit is matched by the intensity of the oak, but everything coheres and finds balance. The finish is lengthy, with vanilla, black fruits, and some racy red fruits as well.
