- From fresh, fragrant fruit, wonderful tropical notes combine with bright citrus and mineral characters to create a deliciously flavorsome and refreshing Woop Woop Verdeho. Consistent with previous vintages, winemaker Ben Riggs has created a bright, aromatic wine, fruit-driven with crisp natural acidity, and well balanced palate. It will compliment a wide variety of foods, matching particularly well with seafood, salads or spicy Asian cuisine.
- Pale-yellow color. Fresh, with white flowers and slightly mineral. Very charming! Well balanced, with a good weight. Citrus and green apple aromas and a hint of mineral. A Riesling with a nice fruitiness and good body. Very easily enjoyed!
- The Russian River Valley is an appellation with varying climates and soils. Hook & Ladder’s Los Amigos Vineyard sits in the warmer northeastern section of the appellation.
- Schug's "Heritage Reserve" Chardonnay features separately vinified blocks of Their Estate vineyard, blended for maximum complexity. Each block contributes a unique clonal and microclimate signature to the blend. The resulting wine shows intense fruit aromas of ripe pear and orange liqueur, complemented by toasty oak. Complex pear, apple and citrus flavors give way to a full-bodied texture and a long finish.
- Roasted red berry and plum aromas carry the bouquet to a tannic, grabby palate with red fruit flavors and herbal shadings. Feels better on the finish, with tangy red fruit and nothing offensive.
- With its intense bright nose, the 2012 Novelty Hill Syrah offers a rich, round mouth-feel pleasantly offset by balanced acidity, dark plum and exotic spice before giving way to a densely layered, silky finish.
