Spring Seed Chardonnay is picked six times over a ten day period in order to capture different flavor profiles. Each batch is handled and fermented separately to add complexity to the finished wine. The wine did not go through malolactic fermentation and is not aged in oak in order to retain crisp, natural acidity. - Crafted exclusively from estate fruit, our Reserve Chardonnay is sourced from some of our oldest plantings. Barrel fermented and aged in French oak, it is a complex, elegant, food-friendly wine. There is Asian pear, quince, baked apple, nutmeg, and citrus on the nose. The palate is tightly wound and vibrant with a bright acid core. Hints of pear, apple and lemon zest carry through to the finish.
- This Dundee Hills Chardonnay, sourced entirely of estate fruit, is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to capture the fresh, crisp fruit of the variety. It shows aromas of chamomile and lychee with hints of lemon rind. On the palate, flavors of pear and tropical fruits are balanced by its acidity.
- Apple crisp, grandma’s Holiday divinity and apricot aromas lead to Golden Delicious apple, butterscotch, ripe pear and macadamia nut flavors with brilliant acidity, inviting tannins and a rich finish. The best of both worlds of Chardonnay, this wine is barrel-fermented and aged in neutral French oak to highlight the fruit and add complexity.
- Absolutely delicious, first-rate Chard from this veteran producer. Shows the prettiest balance of all its parts, and just about as good as California Chard gets. Ripely opulent in tropical fruit, apricot and tangerine flavors and crisp in limey acids, the wine’s 50% new oak adds luscious notes of buttercream, toast, smoke and vanilla.
- This wine has a stunning vibrant golden straw color. The nose has intense aromas of orange blossom, lemon zest and ripe yellow fruits. The oak is evident with hints of toasted almonds. The palate is has complex flavors of pineapples, yellow peaches and honey dew. There are sunning notes of freshly baked bread, toasted nuts. The mid palate is focused yet rich and the oak is perfectly balanced just adding some structure and weight to the finish that is long crisp and textured

- Offers a classic union of richness, exotic fruit, and a distinctive minerality, with a racy, freshing acidity. Drink on its own or pair with seafood or creamy pasta or poultry dishes .
- Bright, light yellow. Fresh aromas of white peach, spring flowers and spices. Sappy and savory in the mouth, with the flavor of white peach framed and lifted by brisk acidity. Quite vibrant on the finish.
- Shiny golden robe with green reflections. White flower notes highlighted by a touch of citrus lemon. Balanced and crisp on the mouth . Best drunk now, Goes well with grilled or sautéed fish and poultry .
- Inviting aromas of white peaches; vibrant and well-textured. The acidity and light oak presence allows the wine to evolve in the mouth, leaving a lively stone fruit and citrus flavor. 15% of wine was fermented in oak barrels. The stainless steel tanks and barrels were stirred frequently to impart complexity from the lees. 100% malolactic fermentation.
- Bright straw in hue, followed by fresh peach and pear overlying citrus and passion fruit on the nose . Filled with flavors of peach-and-pear aromatics mirrored in the bold flavor profile; rich, creamy texture; bright but smooth finish, lingering citrus.
- Lean and mean chard - not too much of anything, especially oak. Very minerally, with stone on the nose and in the mouth, as well as quince and Meyer lemon with very good vibrancy and liveliness.

This Chardonnay expresses lovely aromas of ripe pears, apple blossom, lemon zest, pineapple and a touch of sweet toasty oak. A rich and silky texture is highlighted with bright fruit flavors of ripe apple, lemon, peach and a touch of butterscotch. Balanced acidity gives length to the finish. This wine will elegantly with Mediterranean food, chicken pot pie, creamy cheeses, and grilled squash. -
The color of the wine is bright and limpid. The nose is floral and fruity. Very straightforward and direct on the palate, as if biting into a grape. Fresh and light, with a very pleasant aftertaste. -
Fresh pear aromas wrap around a core of cinnamon to introduce this mouth-filling wine. Juicy on the front of the palate with balanced acidity, a rich, round mid-palate, and a lengthy finish that leaves a delightful impression of stone fruit. -
This classic Carneros Chardonnay was grown on Schug's own cool-climate Estate vineyard, as well as the Ricci, Cornerstone, Wildcat, Sangiacomo, Leveroni and Iund Vineyards. It was barrel fermented and aged on the lees (sur-lie) in small French oak barrels, with minimal new oak introduced. Malo-lactic fermentation was not induced, allowing the wine to retain its natural acidity and varietal focus. The result is a wine that is both rich and powerful, while refreshing and elegant on the finish. It has a ripe, spicy tropical bouquet with flavors that suggest citrus, pear and spiced apples. Well-balanced acidity gives it a crisp, clean finish, making it an excellent wine with food. Try it with cream soups, rich seafood, fowl, veal and pasta dishes. - Schug crafted this Chardonnay from select vineyards located in the Sonoma Coast appellation, including the microclimates of western Carneros, southern Sonoma Valley and the Petaluma Gap. Produced in a lively, crisp style that emphasizes varietal character without the use of new oak, it has a spicy citrus bouquet that leads to juicy flavors of white peach and nectarine, followed by a sleek, juicy finish. Try it as an elegant aperitif paired with hors d'oeuvres, or with lighter dishes such as soups, salads, seafood and pasta dishes.
- Aromas of sweet pineapple, peach and apricot blend together with barrel aromas of fig, honey and vanilla finishing with hints of white peach. This “Chard” was hand picked and gently squeezed to allow the natural fruit character to shine through. Half of this Chardonnay was fermented in stainless steel and the other half was barrel fermented in small French oak barrels. They are then blended together to enhance the complexity of body, flavor and aroma.

Intense aromas of tropical fruit, lemon zest, and fresh pear; combined with fig, vanilla, and spice. The mouth is rich - filled with bright flavors of wildflower honey, green apple, and nutmeg. Firm acidity provides a bright finish of citrus, mineral, and toasted oak.
