This pale straw colored wine reveals a distinct saline character on the nose. The palate is dry and delicate with brine and green olive notes. Finishes with chalky minerals and very good length. - A nutty and acidic wine, with aromas of pressed walnuts and toffee. Feels tight, sharp and narrow on the tongue, with blazing acidity and dry, limited, salty flavors that fold in toffee and sour fruit notes. Salty on the finish; smells great!
- A glass-coating opaque purple, it surrenders an already complex perfume of toasty oak, spice box, incense, espresso, and black fruits. Structured on the palate, it will benefit from an additional 3-4 years of cellaring. Dense, firm, and layered, this lengthy Tempranillo will offer a lengthy drinking window .
- It has been said that Tempranillo is Spain's answer to Cabernet. Certainly it has the spine for it. It is thick skinned and deep colored. Picos Tempranillo Exhibits the profundity and aromas associated with Cabernet, such as spice, tobacco, olive oil, and herbs. But unlike Cabernet this tempranillo exhibits exuberant fruit. This Tempranillo is grown in Castilla-La Mancha, the "Spanish Meseta" for a vine to flourish here it must have grit, character, and a strong self of self. It certainly shows in this wine.

- The nose shows damsons and plums and is quite floral with violet undertones. The palate is bursting with flavors: forest fruit and red cherries are underpinned by vibrant acidity. The tannins are ripe and sinewy but have a firm grip. Complex and complete. The 2009 is probably the best vintage of Valbuena we have tasted to date. It shows precision and focus but also conveys the richness, concentration and freshness of this great wine.

It is elegant, round and creamy, balanced, fresh and voluminous finish along with plenty of balanced tannins.
- Cherry red with ripe-cherry tones, lively, good maturation tones, good color, intense, ripe-cherry red meniscus. Hearty, fresh and complex on the nose, elegant and creamy, somewhat syrupy, with an agreeable oak floor and ripe-fresh cherry fruit flavor. Round, rich, flavorful and voluminous, a bit fleshy and long lasting with very intense finish.
- This wine has a nice bright cherry color with a clean and open nose displaying red fruits and a spicy touch, coming through as quite a traditional nose and a polished palate with good acidity as they aim for freshness and drinkability.
