The style of the wine is certainly not traditional Rioja after trials, they decided against American oak but the style is not modern alto expression either. Perhaps the term Neo-Classical is most apt, with complex mineral-infused fruit and discreet oak influences, underpinned by a fine but firm structure. These are definitely fine wines in the grand European tradition, and sure to generate serious media, trade and consumer interest. - Macan Classico is the second wine in the Bordeaux sense, even though the name might be rather confusing and some people might think this is the superior cuvee. It's clearly a more accessible wine than its sibling, and that's intentional. Bright ruby-colored, with some red fruit and lactic notes complemented by licorice, spices, smoke, coffee, vanilla, balsamic, smoked meat, sweet fruit, and chocolate. Elegant and harmonious, it is medium-bodied with balanced acidity and good length. It's quite approachable and pleasant to drink with some fine tannins.
- The Verdejo is crystal clear, and pale straw in color. The nose is fresh and aromatic, with delicate hints of pear and white peach, flower blossom, beeswax and mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is light and dry, with a surprising concentration of soft appley fruit, a crisp finish and a slight prickle that refreshes on a hot day.
- Bold, oaky aromas of coconut, cola and mocha come with a blackberry backing. Vibrancy and hard tannins push the palate, which brings chocolaty flavors, spice and mocha along with core berry. Licorice, toast and other black flavors drive an oaky, hard finish.
- This is filled with intense black and blue fruits, nearly overripe but always stepping away from that precipice. The power of the fruit is matched by the intensity of the oak, but everything coheres and finds balance. The finish is lengthy, with vanilla, black fruits, and some racy red fruits as well. Drink soon or in the next ten or so years.
- Opaque ruby color. Cherry and floral aromas with some white pepper and minerality. Berry skin, cherry, flavors with a touch of licorice. Firm and round. Soft finish.
- The Tinta de Toro varietal is a clone of the Tempranillo varietal, but it has a thicker skin, lower acidity, and deeper blue-black color. Tinta de Toro produces bolder colored red wines compared to Tempranillo, with powerful tannins.
- A strong, bold definitive tempranillo . Brazen flavors of strawberries, black currants, cherries, prunes, chocolate and tobacco. Well rounded supple tannins and great on the finish.
- Dark red color. Blackberry aroma. Firm structure. Plum and black fruit flavors. Soft finish
- Ruby red matured by the crianza it has hints of amber but it is still very lively in color. It is followed by fruity aromas and spices on the nose . On the palate it is round with ripe red fruit and soft tannins, pleasant and easy on the mouth it has great equilibrium and is savory and persistent.
- This blend comes across granulated and reduced on the nose, with compact aromas of berry fruits and plum. It’s round, easygoing and dense on the palate, with mild flavors of baked berries. It loses steam on the finish but retains a mellow likability
- Strawberry and other red-fruit aromas run the bouquet. The palate is tangy and crisp, with dry but clean red-fruit flavors. Mildly spiced on the finish, this has length and purity.
- Expressive, with a fresh, flowery, Moscato-like nose. Bursts with apple and grapefruit, and then a wave of pineapple. It has spine, zest and style. A good everyday white that’s balanced
- This smells like orange marmalade. It feels smooth and creamy, but not terribly thick due to fine acidity, with flavors of orange, honey, peach and spice. Long and creamy on the finish, this is a fresh, delicious wine that should impress anyone with a sweet tooth
- It has a deep intense ruby red color with slight sublet cherry tones. It offers aromas of a wide variety of soft red fruits accompanied by touches of vanilla that have com from the oak barrel. Round on the mouth accompanied by ripe fruit and soft tannins.
- Composed of 50% Tempranillo and 50% Grenache, this aromatic, fruit forward red displays fresh, clean notes of cherry and raspberry on the nose and palate.
- An attractive straw color with hints of green on the rim. Clean and brilliant. It is very expressive and very harmonious on the nose. Fine notes of green apples, pear and lemony aromas. Accompanied by hints of basil and flower blossoms. Seductive and exotic palate of pineapple and mango intermingled with refreshing citrus flavors amplified by minerally accents. Silky but yet fully bodied, with a long lingering finish.
- A glass-coating opaque purple, it surrenders an already complex perfume of toasty oak, spice box, incense, espresso, and black fruits. Structured on the palate, it will benefit from an additional 3-4 years of cellaring. Dense, firm, and layered, this lengthy Tempranillo will offer a lengthy drinking window .
- Bold dark ruby in color . Filled with flavors of brazen red fruits such as strawberry and ripe plums, followed with chocolate and tobacco notes. Round and full on the mouth with lovely tannins.
- Luscious, rich and structured full body red. Aromas of minerals, black cherry and spice. Best with meats and cured cheeses.
- The Pedro Romero Manzanilla has a lovely, light green olive and mineral character. It’s a fine wine, with considerable purity on the palate and a saline persistence on the finish. Very good.
