“A ripe and fresh nose displays liqueur-like aromas of red and dark berry fruit cut with plenty of earthiness. There is good vibrancy and lovely detail to the rustic but concentrated mid-weight flavors that possess reasonably good depth and length. This should drink well young but should also offer a year or two of upside development potential.” - Bottled at the end of March, the Beaune 1er Cru Les Greves has a fine bouquet of red currant, raspberry and even a faint touch of pine needles on the well-defined nose that expresses the terroir well. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp black rather than red fruit. The tannins are just a little tough at the moment, but there is sufficient fruit to keep it balanced and vibrant. This is a charming Les Greves that deserves just a couple of years in bottle.
- The wine sports ripe red currant and wild strawberry aromas mixed with incense. The palate is vibrant and fresh on the entry with perhaps just a touch of CO2. It exerts a firm grip, demonstrates good weight with fine sucrosity on the finish.
- A brooding and quite somber nose speaks of earthy and floral dark berry fruit aromas dissolve gracefully into rich, intense and focused medium-bodied flavors that possess fine complexity on the firm and somewhat linear finish.
- Displays a wonderful texture, purity and sappiness that will pleas everyone, one of the keys was not to extract too much, in order to extract red fruit flavors from the grape.
- “An exceptionally fresh and pretty nose features notes of lemon peel on the white and yellow orchard fruit scents. There is good volume and plenty of mid-palate fat to the generous and fleshy mid-weight flavors that display fine length and reasonably good depth as well for a wine at this level. An excellent all-around house white.”
- Dark ruby red with a bouque of potent berry fuit aromas which give away to cigar boxes and dark chocolate followed by vanilla and oak spices. Full in body with appealing blackberry flavours followed by tobbacco, chocolate toast and vanilla. A good tannic structure adds complexity and long maturation potential. Pairs excellently with red meat, game and duck dishes.
- Intense color, complex aroma of red fruits (plum and black currant), hints of tobacco and leather. Elegant with ripe tannins but very obvious characteristic of the soil from which it derives.
- Despite being a pure Sangiovese, this wine combines the longevity of the vine to its ready drinkability at a young age due to the cultivation of this noble grape variety on a ground which gives a looser more soft and silky tannins. The fruity, full of red berries, makes it suitable for prompt consumption.
- Clear golden with fluffy white head. Light biscuits and grains, dried apricot, very soft taste and feel with velvety orange notes and light herbs. Subtle fruity hops go into a light long lasting bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Very nice Pilsner actually, better than most of the more experimental Perles.
- Clear Amber with medium white head. Lots of aromatic hops, grapefruit, lime, bitter herbs, biscuits, vanilla cookies, tropical fruit candies, cinnamon. Quite sweet going fast into a medium strong bitter finish. Medium bodied.
- Slightly hazy crisp copper coloured body with a nice bronze glow and a very thin oily tan head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, coriander seed and a touch of curacao and light sweetness. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong yeastie notes up front with hints of alcohol and bitter malt with a touch of spices and herbs, including mint.
- Unfiltered and golden blonde in hue, it has a dense white foam. The hops display an intense expression and the fragrance is a blend of fruits, woods, spices, and floral notes.
- Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of honey, Juicy Fruit gum, dried mango, banana, alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Full body, velvety/creamy texture, soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Really nice aroma that reminds me quite a bit of Stille Nacht...very fruity and candyish with lots of layers.
- Amber in hue it has a supple foamy head followed by hints of nuts, caramel and malt. It leads to a dry yeasty finish with hints of alcohol.
- Amber in hue this beer posseses a dense cream head which leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Sweetish, faintly herbal in flavour, it is a tad bit spicy, more dr and hoppy on the finish.
- Beautifully expressive on the nose, notes of cocoa, cedar wood and cassis. Classic Pauillac palate, rich, muscular structure.
- A stunning plum purple color with juicy, rich aromas of blackberry, plum and a hint of cinnamon, with a delicious richness with mellow tannins, blackberry and a hint of dark chocolate.
- A great wine, full-bodied, fresh and round. Rich and nice expression with notes of dark fruit and toasted oak in the finish. Undertone of eucalyptus, resin, astringent, too sharp, good fruity notes, good balance.
- A Great wine with classic Margaux characteristics of violet perfume, spice, and fresh cherries. With soft, ripe and complex tannins .
- With good color, notes of espresso bean and black cherry lead to ripe, sweet licorice and black cherry with strong coffee tones in the round finish.
