Structurally, the wine has a rich yet restrained feel. Once past the initial impression on the palate, which is somewhat plush, the fine tannins and lively acidity lead to a tightly wound finish. While enjoyable in its youth, this wine should have a long life ahead. - Fly Over Red offers soft and generous flavors of blackberry, black currant and pomegranate with toasty vanilla spice and fine herbs adding complexity.
- Aromas of, freshly crushed berries. Dense and chewy on the palate. Creamy flavors of raspberry, black cherry and a hint of chocolate. Hints at the forest floor flavors typical of Rogue Valley reds. Fully ripe tannins, and subtle framing acidity. Youthful and relatively tight, it will certainly benefit from aeration at this early stage in its development.
- Delicate, feminine style with pretty aromas of raspberry, jasmine tea and dried orange peel followed by deeper scents of forest floor and chanterelle mushroom. Flavors broaden to include wild huckleberry, red cherries, toasted pecan and a hint of lavender. While delicate, the flavors are focused and persistent. The texture is plump upon entry and firms up with fine, dusty tannins providing the structure to age gracefully
- Scents of freshly crushed raspberry, black cherry and lavender mingle with coriander, cardamom and clove creating a heady perfume of Pinot. A bit of savory mushroom adds depth of flavor. Perhaps the most alluring aspect of Pinot noir is texture. While this wine is soft and delicate up front its youthful nature may mislead with early accessibility, yet it will continue to improve for five to eight years from vintage.
- A generous style, brimming with Gala apples, Asian pears and fresh pineapple the wine achieves a lively balance with penetrating acidity. Aromas of toasted Hazelnuts and fresh baked bread are followed by a hint of caramelized sugar, infusing a Crème Brule like character. - A blend of three Alsatian grape varieties, Pinot Blanc 56%, Riesling 31%, and Gewurztraminer 13%. The individual components were fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the freshness and vibrancy that our unique alpine climate offers. The nose offers up apple blossoms and a hint of citrus while pears and a touch of stone fruits come through on the palate. The lively acidity keeps it focused and very food friendly, right through to its just-shy-of-dry finish.
