Medium ruby color. Potent nose of juniper berry, violets, blackberry, red raspberry, stone, and dense earth. Lithe, sinewy layers of black raspberry, pulpy red raspberry, iron filings, cinnamon, and a bit of meatiness coursing on the palate with seamlessness and exuberance. Lovely acidity and serious but integrated tannins leading to a long finish of lively red and black fruit cut with rock and grip. Wow, a first class wine caught in early adolescence brimming with freshness and strength. - A wine with great breed. Bright, intense ruby-red color. Complex aromas of Morello cherry (griotte"), cherry wood, raspberry, and, in some years, a discreet touch of tobacco. As the wine ages, there are notes of truffle and musk. On the palate, a good balance between structure and texture. A remarkably long aftertaste".
