Delivers plenty of Kiwi character with a little extra complexity and focus - possibly from 10% Riesling co-fermented with the Sauvignon! Juicy, bright, and vivacious with generous flavors of pink grapefruit, passion fruit, lemon, lime, and fresh grass. There's a nice minerality on the mouthwatering finish. Generous, but nicely in control, this will be just as at home on the table as it is by itself on the back deck. - Pungent and sweaty but nevertheless inviting, this is a walk on the wild side of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It’s full-on boxwood and passion fruit; a potent, weighty wine with a intensely feral quality.

"Maori for 'gentle breeze,' ranga.ranga is Simon and Vanessa Barker's early-picked sauvignon, caught when just ripe. Their vineyard is near the Blind River in the Awatere Valley, a cool site close to the ocean, where the sauvignon grew deliciously crisp and zesty. The freshness of the wine feels completely natural, the acidity perfectly integrated into a flavor of lemon zest, ready to pour with fresh-shucked oysters. Here in the US, Ed Barker set up the family's own import company, which is how they can offer this wine at the price.
