Barossa

  • Cimicky Invisible Man Cabernet - Shiraz
The Invisible Man is very much Jennie Cimicky’s label - regarded with quite a degree of derision, and actual disbelief and disgust by the man himself who will naturally not be available to discuss the wine or travel the world to promote it. The wines must, as usual speak for themselves and to that end the Cimicky's have decided that only Estate fruit will be used so that we can completely guarantee the quality from their patch of ground to the bottle. Consequently the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon hail from their original plantings of 1973. The release of the label also coincides with their 40th Anniversary.
  • Cimicky Shiraz Trumps
It was once customary for a small group of zealous Barossa pioneers to regularly seek the cellar retreat of an old vineyard cottage. Within the cool stone depths of this hidden refuge, these normally hard working men whiled away many a contented hour with both cards and wine. Now a lingering part of Barossa history, the crumbling remains of this cottage still stand amidst venerable old vines that constantly produce this excellent Shiraz that always, “comes up trumps.” 100% Shiraz.

    Region: Barossa
Brilliant purple and opaque cherry hues. Lifted spicy blackberry florals on the nose with layers of earth, dark plum and espresso. The bright and brooding palate displays vibrant notes of dried spice, juicy cassis and black plum. Multi layerd fine tannin and fresh acidity will allow this wine to age supremely well over the long term.
  • Glaetzer Shiraz Bishop

    Glaetzer Shiraz Bishop

    Country: Australia
    Region: Barossa
A blend of fruit from 35 year-old vines & 120 year-old vines is the key to Bishop. The Fruit from the younger vines is fresh & vibrant, whilst Shiraz from the oldest blocks in the Ebenezer vineyard gives structure and enhances the palate profile. A brooding nose of blackberry and liquorice notes with a hint of cedar spice. The plate displays a core of bold dark fruits yet remains layered, restrained and tight. This wine will benefit from 10-12 years careful cellaring.
  • Glaetzer Shiraz Grenache Wallace

    Glaetzer Shiraz Grenache Wallace

    Country: Australia
    Region: Barossa
Glaetzer Wallace takes on the traditional Barossa Valley blend of Shiraz and Grenache in a thoroughly modern way. The Shiraz component gives the wine backbone, flesh and body with the Grenache adding a soft, vibrant juiciness. Overt dark cherry, cracked pepper and raspberry notes are lifted and fragrant on the nose. There is a dark fruit lushness to the palate which is counterbalanced by a spicy suppleness and focus. Flavors of blackcurrant, blueberry and crushed and spice provide depth and complexity. Very approachable in it's youth and will develop great complexity as it ages.
  • Glaetzer Anaperenna Shiraz/Cab
The wine is a seamless fusion of two varieties: Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Bright and vibrant dark purple color with an expressive nose of black currant, liquorice and anise. A finely structured and elegant tannin structure supports luscious flavors of chocolate and dark berries with fresh acidity. A wine that will evolve very well with long term cellaring .
