Lively aromas of fresh herbs, minerals, figs, and orange peel jump out of the glass. This wine is clean, juicy and penetrating, yet quite supple, with ripe citrus and fig notes adding to its complex nature. It exhibits a wonderful balance as well as very good flavor intensity and length. A classic wine for seafood, or fowl and it would work very well with appetizers. This is a new discovery for us and it continues to amaze us for the sheer value it represents. Elegance like this is hard to find even in wines more expensive than this. - Sweet, fresh, honeyed citrus and tropical fruits in a forward, lush, easy drinking style that will be best consumed young.
- Exhibits the lively fruit aromas of sauvignon blanc - This variety is harvested early to maximize its potential in the Semillon blend. The fruit is destemmed into the press, in a similar fashion to the Moss Wood Semillon, drained and pressed and then settled in stainless steel tanks. It is then racked and fermented in stainless steel at 15°C. There is no lees stirring post-fermentation for the Sauvignon Blanc. It should retain its freshest, most lifted aromas of leaf, grass and lychee. The lively fruit aromas of sauvignon blanc – herbaceous and tropical notes like guava and loquat combine with Semillon apple and fig characters, to create a medium to full body wine with fresh acidity, soft tannins and a clean finish.
- Delicious aromas of melon and a hint of butterscotch wrap around a juicy core of melon, fresh fig and honey. The finish is polished and round. A unique and delightful wine!
- This Sauvignon Blanc has a focused aromatic expression on the riper side of Sauvignon Blanc with grapefruit and guava, while also bringing forth an aromatic return reminiscent of fresh mountain honey. Bright in texture, it combines the fresh, underlying acidity to give length while the aromatic and mineral texture both add rhythm and depth.
