This extremely easy drinking blend had a new Sangiovese source for the 2013 version. Black cherry, black olive and Meatballs with Bolognese sauce lead the aromatics followed by delicious flavors of candied apple, caramel, cigar tobacco, plum and rose petal. - The nose is mixed with leather and incense as spicy tones of cloves and licorice waft from the glass. Medium-bodied and fiery, the mouth reveals layers of full rich cream, white pepper and the nectar of ripe black fruits. Generous and hearty, with loads of jammy, black stone fruit. The concentration and supple power reflect the energy within each bottle, which echo the remarkable relationship between winemaker and land.
