The lush, round entry on the palate leading to a well structured, full mouthfeel, ending with a long pleasing finish. Added notes of black cherry, ripe plums and nicely integrated oak make this Meritage a wine that can be enjoyed now but will reward the patient consumer with the added complexity that will be gained with years of aging. - Deep rich, youthful, purple hues are evidenced in the glass with aromas that have pleasing intensity. Hints of cassis, raspberry, spice, and rhubarb are well integrated in the nose. From entry to finish this wine has an even, alluring presence on the palate with a nicely balanced medium body. The flavors follow the aromas with added nuances of red currants and oak nicely integrated with the vinous fruit and a moderately lingering finish augmented by a touch of chili pepper
- A Young Merlot was taken by Hollywood glamour photographer Bruno Bernard, in 1949 at the Palm Springs Racquet Club, with Norma Jeane playfully posing on a diving board above shimmering water the color of her bathing suit. It was during this photo shoot that she was introduced to the Hollywood agent Johnny Hyde, who secured a role for her in The Asphalt Jungle, leading to her fame as Marilyn Monroe.
- This Merlot is made from a blend of the finest blocks of our bench land vineyards. Soft and supple with flavors of black berries and plum.
- Deep ruby in color, this Bordeaux style blend offers aromas of Cherry, Santa Rosa plum, black currant, with floral and spice notes.
- This Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot combines the blueberry and blackcurrant fruit characters, with violets and redcurrant, generous fruit depth with soft oak influence providing a toasty, spicy background.
- Fruit flavors of berries and earthy notes - full body - firm tannins and soft oak. Ribbon Vale can include up to 30% of Merlot, for its intense red and dark fruit characters on both nose and palate, and 10% of Cabernet Franc for its dark berry aromas.
- Bordeaux's most intensely concentrated, richly flavored and unique red wine. An incredible power, depth and richness yet a remarkable balance with penetrating aromas of ripe mulberry, black currant and fruit and spicy vanilla oak, setting it apart from all Bordeaux's finest wines.
- Chateau Bélair-Monange (Saint-Émilion) 2007: Sweet fruit, vanilla cream, attractive summer pudding character on the nose. A supple flesh on the palate, quite nicely balanced, softly styled with a gentle composition. Quite firm underneath though. A good presence of clean fruit at the finish, where there is a little more tannin evident.
- Exuberant aromas of plums, tomatoes and nutmeg, with a firm, understated structure of fruit and tannins. Elegant style.
- This wine is rich and dense with lots of excellent black fruit, with power and balance in harmony. The property is close to perfection where everything is present but the concentration of tannins can taste gene.
- "Ample, rich, almost over-ripe nose. Medium body. Good grip. Lovely black fruit. This is a lovely, seductive wine. Very good for a bourgeois Pomerol."
- Ruby red matured by the crianza it has hints of amber but it is still very lively in color. It is followed by fruity aromas and spices on the nose . On the palate it is round with ripe red fruit and soft tannins, pleasant and easy on the mouth it has great equilibrium and is savory and persistent.
- Very prominent and pleasing nose of juicy plum and floral bouquet. Flavor of sweet cedar, raisins, mint and balanced spice. Cinnamon lingers on the tongue. Delicious wine. Good pairing with lamb or beef.
- Strawberries and red cherries alongside the blue fruit. Peppery, spicy, with a zingy, tangy, acid pink grapefruit.
- Bright aromas and flavors of raspberries and strawberries with racy and lean acidity is predominate. Moderate tannins and naturally high acidity gives this wine additional complexity and length.
- Dark, Supple, complex and powerful. This Merlot is made by Paul Champoux, it delivers and is to the point being voluptuous .
- Dark aromas of cherry, mocha and blueberry lead to ripe plum, blackberry pie and flavors of a savory red wine reduction steak sauce, layered with intense chocolate and rich, velvety tannins.
- A brilliant ruby color introduces an array of aromas including vanilla, warm plum and blackberries. A symphony of cassis, huckleberries, brown spices, minerals and black cherries on the tongue. Smooth, inky, and rich. Great structure. Supple mouth feel with a good balance of ripe sweet fruit and acidity. Easy drinking with soft, even, smooth tannins. Aged in small oak barrels for 12 months, the total production of this wine is under 600 cases per year.
- Flavors of berry and currant balanced with oak and spice.
- A complex nose wild blueberry, cherry, and pomegranate-ate; with a touch of cedar, spice, and subtle mint. The mouth is smooth -layered with rich flavors of blackberry, plum jam, red currants, and sweet vanilla. Firm tannins fill the palate and provide an elegant finish of dried red fruits.
