Malbec

  • Zaha Red Blend

    Zaha Red Blend

    Country: Argentina
    Region: Mendoza
The Red Blend is 80% Malbec and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, both from Altamira, fermented together. The idea here is that the two grapes complement each other and, adding the sweetness of the Malbec to the bitterness of the Cabernet, make the wine more elegant. The nose is a little reticent as well as subtle, elegant, and ripe, with notes of damsons and black cherries intermixed with a whiff of herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with fresh flavors of raspberries, cherries and spices alongside sweet tannins through the long, balanced finish.
  • Zolo Malbec

    Zolo Malbec

    Country: Argentina
    Region: Mendoza
Lovely floral bouquet with mulberry, fresh fig and rose petals that is lifted and generous. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins, but the fruit is clean and fresh with zesty black currant pastille and strawberry notes towards the vibrant, elegant finish. This is very fine.
  • Novelty Hill Red Table Wine Royal Slope

    Country: United States
    State: Washington
    Region: Columbia Valley
Filled with lovely aromas of sweet cherry and a hint of toast, this fresh, medium-bodied wine offers bright acidity across the palate before finishing with a delicious spice and wild huckleberry.
  • Sur de los Andes Malbec

    Country: Argentina
    Region: Mendoza
Everything you want in a value Malbec is on display here. The nose is big and muscular, with ripe fruit aromas and touch of earth and mushroom. Meanwhile, the palate is all black fruit all the time; it shows girth and chocolate in front of a finish that lasts a good while.
  • Sur de los Andes Malbec Reserva

    Country: Argentina
    Region: Mendoza
Bright ruby-red. Black fruits and licorice on the nose
  • Sur de los Andes Malbec Gran Reserva

    Country: Argentina
    Region: Mendoza
Heavy oak greets you on the nose in the form of shoe polish and blackened aromas. This feels ripe, solid and woody, with good structure. Flavors of plum, mint and oak resin turn spicy and minty if given time, while the finish is driven by crisp acidity and plum and raspberry flavors.
  • Zolo Malbec Reserva

    Country: Argentina
    Region: Mendoza
A Malbec with an intense violet color, and aromas of red mature fruits and flowers combined with touches of vanilla and chocolate; smooth and sweet mouthfeel with velvety tannins.
