This Southern Rhône-style blend has dark fruit and floral aromas and rich, black cherry flavors with herbal and mineral notes. Enjoy with robust preparations such as pork roast, cassoulêt, or braised rabbit. - The fruit for Rock and a Hard Place was originally sourced from a Vineyard in East Santa Barbara County, which was extremely rocky and unbelievably hard to get to, hence the name.
- A Paso Robles sourced GSM blend. This wine showcases some of the best vineyards on the westside of Paso Robles and is always Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.
- Cellar Besllum's opaque purple-colored 2008 Xabec is a blend of 50% Carinena and 50% Garnacha aged in new French oak for 14 months. Aromas of pain grille, mineral, lavender, black cherry, black plum, and licorice inform the nose of this already complex, concentrated Montsant. Savory, ripe, and succulent, it has enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years.
- It displays a very ripe nose of black plums, prunes and dates intermixed with notes of graphite and dark chocolate, in a supple palate with marked acidity, abundant dusty tannins and good length.
- The wine features a bright cherry-red color and aromas of kirsch, strawberry, raspberry, and violet. Light-bodied on the tongue, the boisterous fruit-character engages the senses in a playful way. The harmony of red flavors decrescendos into a soft, dry finish. A far cry from some of the dark, brooding, and powerful California Grenaches, this wine celebrates a lighter style and is well-suited for any wine-drinking occasion.
- We love Grenache for it's uber versatility. It is a beautiful, feminine wine with a silky texture. The full, mouth-coating, and lingering palate presence make it a huge favorite with our staff and tasting room visitors alike. We personally fell in love with this varietal during a trip to Australia, and came straight home and planted some ourselves. This is an extremely easy-going companion to just about every cuisine type and a must-have-on-hand-in-the-cellar kind of wine!

- Montbrun lies on the scrubland of the Corberies swept by the winds . The Moulin or the mill is the silent witness of the history of this wine. The momentum of this Cuvée gives it wings and strength. The languor of Marin, and the sun's heat give the wine peppery flavors of autumn.

- (60% Syrah, 40% Gamay) It is hard to conceive of a more sheer joyous and brilliant wine in this lighter vein. Masterfully combining the complementary virtues of perfumed Syrah and snappy gamay, it slides down the throat with the ease of a serpent and then tempts you to commit non-stop sin.
- 100% Grenache grown in the tough Ironstone laden hillside. The vines appear to float above the valley and the sea below, braving the winds off of the Southern Ocean and keeping yields achingly low, thus producing a profound Grenache of delicate balance. Aged in neutral oak for 5 months.
- Imprimata aims to be in the best expression of this McLaren Vale vineyard. In the case of the inaugural vintage, it is a blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Petite Sirah aged for 15 months in 2-3 year old French and American Hogsheads. The Tahbilk clone of Shiraz (one of two clones planted at the property) comes from the oldest winery in Victoria and tends to produce wines that are reminiscent of the northern Rhone revealing more lifted violet and spice character. Petite Sirah is naturally higher in acid tannin and color bringing structure and minerality to the blend. The wine is made by Ben Glaetzer who shares Hammershlag's vision of wines that walk the line between power and elegance always finding balance between the two.
- Predominately powered by the earthy Syrah, this wine is full-bodied and hearty. Smooth and juicy up front, thanks to the Grenache, jammy and spicy flavors are contributed by the Zinfandel and texture is brought in by the Petite Sirah. A well-balanced blend has no preconceived notion of a particular flavor profile so set your senses free on a scavenger hunt of flavors.
- This is dark in color, with pushy aromas of wild field, prune and vinegar. Wide, chunky and heavy, it has flavors of black fruit, mint and green herb. It’s full but soft on the finish, with pruny accents.
