Our perennial “pizza/pasta wine” takes an Italian twist with Sangiovese, Barbera, and Primitivo joining the Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. It has a nose of raspberry and honeysuckle, followed by a round mouth feel bursting with fresh cherries and hints of spice. This wine finishes with integrated tannins and good acidity to make it the perfect food match. - The triumph of Italian wine varietals championed in this Estate blend of Sangiovese, Primitivo, Barbera and Dolcetto offers a portrait of aromas and flavors that have resonated throughout the Mediterranean for centuries.
- Ca’ del Sarto Barbera d’Alba is a powerful berry rich wine with soft tannins. This great Italian wine is left to mature in special oak barrels for 10 months to bring out its subtle, refined quality and robust flavor. Wonderfully smooth and slightly tannic, the wine develops a full, well-balanced flavor with age.
- Ruby red color. Sweet spice, chocolate and red fruit aromas with hints of tobacco. Raspberry, strawberry flavors, medium bodied, light tannins and well balanced acidity
- This wine has an intense ruby red color, rich berry flavor and soft tannins. Velvety on the tongue a bountiful Barbera, with plenty of juicy red cherry and raspberry fruit. Gagliardo ages this Barbera in stainless steel to emphasize the grape’s freshness and vivacity.
- Barbera d’ Alba Surperiore DOC is known for its deep color, low tannins and high levels of acidity. Ruby red in color, fragrant, gentle and harmonious flavors of cherries, blueberries and raspberries.
- Intense, Cardinal red with sparkling tonalities. Resolute bouquet, with trace scents of ripe plum and an undercurrent of mixed spices. Full flavor with long persistence.
