"Ruby-red. The nose displays bright, spice-laced aromas of red fruits and fresh flowers, with a zesty mineral element emerging with air. Conveys very good focus and lift on the palate, offering nervy raspberry and violet pastille flavors plus an exotic touch of blood orange. Lively and seamless Crozes with strong finishing cut and even tannins coming in late. - Bright purple. Complex, highly aromatic scents of red berries, smoky minerals, fresh flowers and Asian spices. Perfumed and alluringly sweet in the mouth, with a velvety texture and sweet raspberry and floral pastille flavors that become spicier with air. There's something pinot-like here that's very appealing. Juicy acidity gives energy and bite to the tangy, gently tannic, focused finish. The excellent 2010 bottling of this wine is evolving at a snail's pace, by the way.
- Delas Syrah is a seriously endowed, opaque purple-colored effort revealing notes of ink, lead pencil shavings, blackberries, toast, licorice, pepper and a liqueur of minerality. This full-bodied, somewhat reserved St.-Joseph is built for long-term aging.
- This has good energy, with a racy, vivid core of black cherry, blackberry and raspberry fruit, laced with bramble, sweet tapenade and anise notes. A buried iron edge carries the finish.
- Red Rather tightly packed, with loganberry, bitter plum and raspberry coulis notes forming the core, while bay, black tea and anise accents add range and extend the finish. A lovely lavender hint echoes at the very end.
- Ripe but tender, with soft-edged plum, blackberry and fig notes framed by whiffs of coffee and charcoal.
- This offers a deep, tight matrix of black fruit and stone, fine tannins keeping the wine taut despite its density. It lasts on earthiness, the flavors recalling fresh matsutakes and dried herbs.
- Bursting with Viognier character: apricots, peaches and preserved citrus fruit. The palate is both smooth and fresh, with hints of spice.
- Deliciously plump, with pear, peach and green fig notes bouncing along, lined with anise, chartreuse and melon rind accents. The long finish flows wonderfully.
- Citrus and tart dominate with a bit of mineral on the nose. Citrus, pear, mineral on the palate with a bit of oak. Medium finish. Very good with chicken pesto and pasta.
- Ruby red color. Sweet spice, chocolate and red fruit aromas with hints of tobacco. Raspberry, strawberry flavors, medium bodied, light tannins and well balanced acidity
- Ruby red color tending towards purple. The nose is pleasing and distinctive, light floral, red fruit aromas with hints of smoke. Soft with cranberry and raspberry fruit in the mouth with a touch of tobacco. Light to medium bodied with moderate acidity.
- A dry elegant, full-bodied red wine, rich in tannin. The nose is dried flowers, violets and anise. In the mouth it is spicy with a long, tannic, yet smooth finish.
- Black pepper nose with dried fruit aromas. Medium bodied with a lively mouth feel. Cherry, raisin and plum flavors. This wine has a long finish with a bit of spice on the end.
- As juicy as a fresh pineapple and as vibrant as a sunny California day, our Chardonnay blends tropical fruit flavors with a refreshing lemon-lime finish. Carefully crafted with ripe, juicy grapes from some of California’s best vineyards, the wine leaps from the glass with tropical-themed aromas and flavors. Fresh pineapple, mango, cantaloupe and kiwi notes are backed by refreshing citrus zest flavors in this lush, silky wine. Thanks to a touch of oak, the wine has a hint of vanilla creaminess that is at once indulgent and fresh.
- It is the hue of pale straw with a slight tint of green. Very expressive on the nose, perfectly typical of the varietal with citrusy and exotic fruit notes. Accompanied by a fine balance and freshness on the palate .
- Falanghina is an ancient white grape variety native to southern Italy. Bright and Straw in color with aromas and flavors of exotic fruits. A perfect meal time companion.
- Vivid medium red. High-pitched red berry and floral aromas are complemented by deeper notes of anise and black cardamom. Sappy and precise, with deep raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a sexy rose pastille quality. Fine-grained tannins add shape and grip to the long, spicy, energetic finish. I'd bet that this very well-balanced wine will reward at least another five years of aging
- Vivid ruby-red. Spicy red berries, herbs and Asian spices on the nose. Fresh and juicy, with energetic redcurrant and raspberry flavors underscored by smoky minerals. Shows impressive energy and structure, finishing clean and brisk, with slow-building tannins and lingering sweetness.
- Tannins, even at this stage of the games, are dense and give the wine a brooding sort of nature that belies the relative youth of the vines from which it comes. This bottling is going to have a serious sense of pizzazz. The fruit is wonderfully ripe without being out of balance at all. The tannins are large-scale in some instances but, again, they are perfectly within context of the fruit intensity and acidity of the wine. This is large-scale stuff but it is in no way any sort of fruit-bomb.
- Excellent nose and structure. Seeming lack of fruit, neither red nor black. A lot of dust, forest floor, dirt is what I noticed. Acid is there but not strong...firm tannins that coat your mouth.
