Van Ruiten Pinot Grigio

Van Ruiten Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio has been said to possess red wine capabilities on the dinner table. This versatile varietal has also done an excellent job in enticing the ever increasing number of “Anything but Chardonnay” sentiments of wine drinkers. This Pinot Gris is brilliant in color and accentuated with powerful aromas of peach blossom, pear, apple and subtly enriched notes of apricot and melon. Our Pinot Gris is packed with tropical fruit and framed with a balanced, elegant mouthfeel that allows the intense fruit flavors to shine.

Winery/Brewery Info

Van Ruiten Family’s Lodi Winery is located Mid-way between the Sierra Foothills and San Francisco Bay Delta. The Lodi vineyards owned by the Van Ruiten Family profit from the ideal delta influenced climate (cool afternoon breeze) that produce ripe the full-flavored Zinfandels, that Lodi is now famous for. Before settlement, the Lodi area now known as the Lodi Appellation was often an inland sea after winter rains and spring snow melt. The resulting flood drainage and soil deposits surrounding Lodi left a rich soil that drains easily, producing one-of-a-kind harvests.
