Pedro Romero Manzanilla Extra Dry

Pedro Romero Manzanilla Extra Dry

The Pedro Romero Manzanilla has a lovely, light green olive and mineral character. It’s a fine wine, with considerable purity on the palate and a saline persistence on the finish. Very good.

Winery/Brewery Info

Established in 1860 by Vincente Romero Carranza, Bodegas Pedro Romero is a family-owned winery located in Sanlucar de Barrameda at the mouth of the Guadalquivir River. Its location near the Atlantic Ocean and the Guadalquivir River (closer than any of the Sherry bodegas in Sanlucar) provides the humidity that feeds the flor essential to the creation of good Sherry. All its Sherry is made using the traditional Solera system of 600 L casks made from American white oak. The bodega has over 10 thousand casks for aging its sherries. In addition to the wines tasted here, Pedro Romero makes some exceptional, older Sherry, including its Prestige line averaging over 50 years of age. The importer is Frontier Wine Imports of Dover NJ.
