Patton Valley West Block Pinot Noir is a wine that will warm you up as we emerge from a wet Oregon winter! In the nose, hints of apple wood smoke, rose petals, and berry pie are balanced by notes of toasted marshmallow, graham cracker, and cacao. Upon entry, the palate is a symphony of blueberry, ripe cherry, and hints of chestnut. The West Block demonstrates its sense of place with big, structured tannins that broaden the mouthfeel and accentuate the fruit. Ample late summer sun gives this wine saturated structure that lends itself to long term age ability.

Winery/Brewery Info
Patton Valley Vineyard got its start in Chicago, in the early 1980′s. Graduate students Dave Chen and Monte Pitt divided their time between their studies at Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management and the windy city’s great wine shops, all the while dreaming of starting a winery together. After graduation they parted ways, heading to separate coasts, but their passion for wine continued to grow.
