Johannishof Johannisberg “V” Riesling Kabinett

Johannishof Johannisberg “V” Riesling Kabinett

There is a lot of scope for versatility with this sweet, viscous wine, though you can expect to get hints of tropical fruit, nectarine, melon and pineapple from a solid Riesling.

Winery/Brewery Info

The Johannishof winery can be found in the famous village of Johannisberg in the Rheingau region, below the Johannisberg Cloister and next to the Elsterbach creek. Johannes and Sabine Eser, the 10th generation of the family, have been managing the destinies of the winery since 1999. They have up to 50 different wines from 20 vintages. Apart from the base wines, the assortment ranges from a variety of Kabinett (Cabinet) and Spätlese (late harvest) wines over to Charta (typical Rheingau Riesling) and Erstes Gewächs (Grand Cru) to noble sweet wines such as Auslese, Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and ice wines. The Weingut Johannishof is a VDP-vinery, produces Charta wines and Erstes Gewächs.
