Well it looks a bit different—but trust us—this vintage is as good or even better than the past five. Highway 12 Proprietary Red Blend shines from start to finish with a nose of dark cherry and bark then hits the front and mid-palate with enormity of blackberry preserves, yet remains austere through the finish by way of cedar-like oak notes and a touch of pencil shaving. Supported by some good tannins, this strong, brooding bottle will handle cellaring with ease. By all means, drink now, but cellaring will only allow you to open it for that special occasion the Highwayman warrants.

Winery/Brewery Info
One of California’s Scenic Highways, the beauty of Highway 12 is enjoyed annually by visitors from around the globe. Seasonal changes provide an ever-varying canvas of unsurpassed grandeur, color and depth. The dramatic Mayacamas mountains framing Sonoma Valley offer both a layered, artistic backdrop and a broad diversity of soils, slopes and microclimates, each with its own varietal affinity. Add to that the rich fertile soils of the valley floor, Sonoma County’s Meditteranean climate and the cooling marine influence of the Pacific and you have grape growing at its very finest.
