This red Saumur comes from vines of Cabernet Franc aged up to 50 years. It is a bold rouge hue with flavors of red fruits and rounded tannins.
The Giraudiere story is the story of an encounter of two different men, Esnault and Fabrice Etienne Matrion. A native of the region, Fabrice Esnault is a winemaker at Breze, like his father and his grandfather. Gradually, he expanded the field and gained notoriety for the quality of its wines. Etienne Matrion is a native of Champagne and a oenologist with a passion of learning. Their Passion is felt in the rich expressions of their wines from Saumur and Samur Champigny.
