Chateau Sablard du Grand Moine Chateau Sablard du Grand Moine
Winery/Brewery Info
Located just a few vine rows from the superb 12th Century church in Lalande de Pomerol, the estate originally consisted of a gravelly 2 hectare plot in the commune of Lalande de Pomerol. It now totals 14 hectares. Eight of these are located in a single block surrounding a modern, functional cellar built in 1992. Chateau Sablard du Grand Moine’s winery has all the latest technical innovations. Double insulation prevents major changes in temperature and small stainless steel vats enable single plot vinification. Careful winemaking methods and constant striving for quality in both the vineyard and the cellar have made Chateau Sablard du Grand Moine one of the finest wines in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation.
