Chateau La Haye Le Lys de La Haye

Chateau La Haye Le Lys de La Haye

A great wine, full-bodied, fresh and round. Rich and nice expression with notes of dark fruit and toasted oak in the finish. Undertone of eucalyptus, resin, astringent, too sharp, good fruity notes, good balance.

Winery/Brewery Info

This house according to legend welcomed Henry II and Diane de Poitiers to partake in a passionate affair. Although he was married to Catherine de Medici , Henri II had a special affection for Diane de Poitiers who was his housekeeper. Their monogram ” H & D ” interlaced is set in stone at the entrance of the castle . It is also found in the homes of historical lover, Fontainebleau for Henri II and Anet for Diane de Poitiers. This royal monogram has now become the symbol of Chateau La Hague and decorates all our labels.
