A very beautiful pomegranate red with intense violet tones. On the nose one picks up a high concentration of mature red fruits such as, raspberry along with toffee. Great mouthfeel a very balanced wine .
Bodega J.A Calvos Casajus is located on top of sandy soils protected by small mountains covered by a forest of pine and oak trees . The vineyard that was cultivated consist of twenty hectares of the local variety of Tinta del Pais, it is over fifty years old. The harvest uses traditional methods and with the microclimate of the area it allows the wine to achieve a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness. These wines are a product of combined knowledge from many generations along with using the most modern techniques .
