Arcos Salice Salentino

Arcos Salice Salentino

Deep red color with a hint of ruby near the rim. A delicate aroma of wild berries. Medium bodied, the flavor tends toward tart cherry with a hint of dark chocolate. A delicious young wine that develops velvety softness with bottle aging.

Winery/Brewery Info

Arcos is a joint project developed by Scoperta Importing and the Castellani family to bring unique, affordable wines from Italy to the United States. Arcos Salice Salentino is composed of 90% Negro Amaro and 10% Malvasia and comes from Puglia. It is a fruit forward, rustic wine that is easy to drink and is at home on the table with food. Arcos Aglianico comes from Sicily and offers a soft, ripe style of this ancient Greek varietal. Arcos Toscana is a Super Tuscan made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grown in vineyards composed of sand, clay and calcareous soil. The wine is aged in a mix of oak casks and small barrels for 12 months.
